Community Regulations

Welcome to Hard Yakka Chronicles. To maintain a realistic, fun, and respectful roleplaying environment, all players must adhere to the following server rules. Ignorance of rules is not an excuse.

1. General Community Guidelines & Respect
  • Respect All Members: Out-of-character (OOC) toxicity, racism, sexism, homophobia, or harassment of any kind will result in an immediate permanent ban.
  • Microphone Requirement: A working, high-quality microphone is mandatory to play on Hard Yakka Chronicles.
  • Stream Sniping & Metagaming: Using external information your character wouldn't know in-game (Metagaming) or watching other players' live streams to gain advantages is strictly prohibited.
2. Fail Roleplay (FailRP) & Powergaming
  • FailRP: Doing actions that are completely unrealistic in a real-life context. This includes driving sports cars up vertical mountain cliffs or unrealistic stunt jumps.
  • Value Your Life (NVL): You must act realistically when threatened with deadly force. If you have a loaded gun pointed directly at your head, you cannot realistically pull out your weapon and start shooting.
  • Powergaming: Forcing a roleplay scenario or outcome that gives another player no choice or realistic counter-action. (e.g. roleplaying that you have an invisible superpower).
3. Combat Logging & Death Rules
  • Combat Logging: Exiting the FiveM client or disconnecting from the server to avoid an active roleplay scenario, police arrest, or inventory search is a banable offense.
  • New Life Rule (NLR): If your character is incapacitated and bleeds out or finishes their respawn at the hospital, they lose all memory of the immediate events and conflicts leading up to their death.
  • RDM & VDM: Random Deathmatch (killing players with no prior valid roleplay reason) and Vehicle Deathmatch (using your car as a primary weapon to run over players) are strictly forbidden.
4. Robberies, Crime & Hostage Limits
  • Criminal Caps: A maximum of 4 players may participate in small-scale criminal activities (store robberies, house burglaries) and a maximum of 6 for large bank heists.
  • Hostages: Simulated hostages must be treated humanely. Fake or cooperative "bought" hostages (friends pretending to be hostages) are strictly banned.
  • No Pocket-Wiping: Stealing absolutely everything from a player's inventory (including trivial items like cellphones, food, water, and licenses) during a robbery is illegal. Take only valuable items (cash, weapons, drugs).
5. Australian Server Immersion
  • Aussie Flavor: While we don't force you to use Australian accents, we highly encourage leaning into the Aussie lingo, setting, and environment.
  • Aussie Laws: NSW-based road rules, vehicle registration, and custom local policing guidelines apply. Make sure to drive on the left side of the road!
